Me, my husband, and my friend Jo, get to downtown Chicago to the theatre around 2. We find my new friend, Dot and her friends, and she tells me that she saw Nick walking around, but a huge bus went by and then he was gone!
We kind of mill around, as we are pretty sure we know where he is coming in, and my husband stood an looked and and saw him in the distance.
Then, one of the other people we were hanging aroun with, saw him, too. We went quickly down the alleyway. He was very nice, and appreciative of the letter and hand embroidered tea towel that I made him. He signed my “Ship Song” single. (That was the first song of his that i heard) Some other guy had like 10 things and Nick said, “you gotta be kidding me!)
I got a picture next to him, though his attention is focused on signing. I really thought I would cry then, but I didnt, instead, I shook like crazy! Then, he went into the venue, an we all looked at each other in awe! Me and Dot hugged and then we went off to find food.
I would say it really is best to meet him before the show, instead of after if you can!
